Lip filler in Tbilisi: Korean or European, price, swelling day by day and aftercare

Lip filler in Tbilisi: Korean or European, what it costs, how it is done, how long it lasts, swelling day by day and aftercare — SANLE, on Marjanishvili.

Lip filler at SANLE — lips before and after the treatment

Lip filler is the most requested injectable treatment: in one hour lips become fuller, more even and better defined — without surgery. The question most people ask is the same: how much is enough to still look natural? This guide walks you through it, from choosing a filler to full healing.

What lip filler is

Lip filler is a gel made from hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already has — it holds water in the skin. Placed in the lips, the gel adds volume, sharpens the outline and hydrates, and the result is visible straight away.

With filler you can:

  • add volume to the upper lip, the lower lip or both;
  • correct asymmetry when one side is thinner;
  • make a blurred lip line crisp again;
  • slightly lift the corners of the mouth so the face looks less tired;
  • bring hydration back to dry, fine-lined lips.

Filler changes shape and volume, not colour. For colour there is lip blush permanent makeup.

Korean or European filler — what is the difference

Both are hyaluronic acid; they differ in brand, density and price.

  • Korean filler — from 350₾. A good choice for a first treatment and for a light, natural volume.
  • European filler — 450–700₾. Premium products; the exact price depends on the one chosen. Picked by people who want a more defined outline or a longer-lasting result.

Not sure which you need? At the consultation the cosmetologist looks at your lip shape, skin and wishes and recommends one.

How the treatment goes

  1. Consultation — the shape you want, your health and any medicines you take;
  2. Cleansing and numbing — a numbing cream goes on the lips, and most fillers also contain an anaesthetic;
  3. Injection — with a very fine needle, in small portions, so the shape builds up gradually;
  4. Shaping and check — you look at the result together in the mirror.

In total — about 1 hour. Most people feel only light pricks.

Swelling and result, day by day

  • Days 1–2 — the lips are swollen and may look a little "more" than planned. This is normal;
  • Days 3–5 — the swelling goes down, any small bruise fades;
  • After about 2 weeks — the filler has fully settled and you see the final shape.

So don't judge the shape on day one — the real picture shows at two weeks.

Before and after

2–3 days before, avoid alcohol and aspirin to lower the risk of bruising. If you often get cold sores, tell the cosmetologist in advance.

After the treatment:

  • on the first day don't touch your lips, don't wear makeup and don't kiss;
  • avoid saunas, steam baths and sunbeds for 1–2 weeks;
  • skip very hot drinks for the first days;
  • drink enough water — hyaluronic acid "loves" water.

Injections are not done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have inflammation or a cold sore on the lips, have a fever, or take blood thinners.

How long it lasts and when to repeat

Hyaluronic lip filler usually lasts 6–12 months and is gradually, naturally absorbed. It depends on your body, metabolism and lifestyle. Many clients keep the shape with a small top-up once a year.

Usually 6–12 months. The filler is absorbed gradually, so your lips don't change overnight.

Does lip filler hurt?

Most people feel light pricks: a numbing cream goes on the lips, and most fillers contain an anaesthetic.

How long does the swelling last?

It is strongest on days 1–2, goes down by days 3–5, and the final shape shows after about 2 weeks.
