"Gel Pedicure in Tbilisi: How Long It Lasts, How It's Done and What It Costs"
Gel polish pedicure in Tbilisi near Marjanishvili metro: how it's done, how long gel lasts on toes, which colour to choose, aftercare and SANLE's prices.

Toenails show less than fingernails, yet they are the first to give regular polish away: shoes, socks and walking chip it within days. A gel pedicure solves that — the nails stay as glossy and clean for weeks as they were when you left the salon.
What is a gel pedicure?
It is the same professional pedicure, but instead of regular polish the nails are finished with gel polish. Gel goes on like polish and sets in seconds under a special lamp. The result:
- Shine that doesn't fade — the finish stays glossy and the colour stays true;
- No scuffs in shoes — even in closed shoes and socks;
- Dry instantly — put your shoes straight on, nothing smudges;
- Stronger nails — thin nails split less.

How it's done, step by step
- Removing the old coat — any previous gel is taken off carefully first;
- Shape and length — toenails are cut straight with softened corners so they don't grow into the skin;
- Cuticles and side walls — the cuticle is cleaned and the skin around the nail tidied;
- Foot skin — rough areas are smoothed so the foot feels soft and clean;
- Prep — the nail surface is cleaned and degreased so the gel grips well;
- Base, colour, top coat — each layer is cured under the lamp. The top coat gives the deep, mirror-like gloss you can see in the photo.

The photo above shows exactly that: deep cherry gel polish on short nails, an even coat right to the edge, a clean line at the cuticles and a strong shine.
How long does gel last on toes?
Toenails grow roughly half as fast as fingernails, so a gel pedicure keeps its look longer than a gel manicure — usually 3–5 weeks. It depends on:
- how fast your nails grow — a bare strip appears at the base;
- your shoes — tight, narrow toes press on the big toenail;
- aftercare — dry skin and cuticles weaken the coat at the edges.
When the strip at the base is clearly visible, it's time for a refresh. Don't peel the gel off — it takes the top layer of the nail with it. Gel removal is also available on its own: from 20₾.
Which colour to choose
- Deep cherry and burgundy — the autumn–winter favourites. They suit both light and dark skin and give the feet a polished, expensive look. Wearing the same shade on your hands? See autumn and winter nail colours;
- Classic red — never out of style, especially for the holidays;
- Nude and milky — clean and calm for work and every day;
- Soft pink and coral — summer and holiday shades;
- Pedicure design — a small detail, a French tip or some sparkle on the big toe. On feet, design usually goes on the big toe only, with the other nails in one colour.
Dark shades look best on short, straight-cut nails. Long toenails press against shoes and the coat wears faster.
A gel pedicure in winter?
Yes — winter is when it is most practical. Closed shoes and socks wear regular polish off fast, while gel holds up. Skin and heels also dry out quickly in the cold season; we cover winter foot care in autumn pedicure and foot care.
Aftercare
- Foot cream every evening — especially on the heels;
- Cuticle oil 2–3 times a week — the skin at the base stays soft and the edge of the coat doesn't lift;
- Comfortable shoes — a tight toe box shouldn't press on the big toenail;
- After the pool or the sea — dry your feet well and apply cream;
- Don't trim or file the nails yourself — the edge of the gel lifts and water gets underneath.

FAQ
How long does a gel pedicure last?
Usually 3–5 weeks on toenails. Toenails grow more slowly than fingernails, so gel lasts longer on the feet than on the hands.
How much does a gel pedicure cost in Tbilisi?
At SANLE a gel pedicure costs from 75₾ and a classic pedicure from 55₾. We confirm the exact price before your visit.
Does gel polish damage toenails?
Gel that is applied and removed properly doesn't damage the nail. Most damage comes from peeling the coat off, so have it removed at the salon.
Can I get a gel pedicure in winter?
Yes, and it's most practical in winter: regular polish wears off quickly in closed shoes and socks, while gel stays intact for weeks.
Which colour is best for a pedicure?
In autumn and winter — deep cherry, burgundy and red; for every day — nude and milky shades; in summer — pink and coral.
How do I book a pedicure?
