Classic lash extensions: what they are, who they suit and how long they last

Want to wake up without mascara and still have expressive eyes, but don't like a heavy, "fake" look? Then classic lash extensions are for you — they are the most natural kind of lash extension.

What are classic lashes?

With classic extensions, one artificial lash is attached to each natural lash. The specialist works on every lash separately, so the line is clean and even and the lashes don't stick together.

The result looks as if you're wearing a good mascara: the lashes are longer, darker and more curled, but the look stays natural. The length, thickness and curl are chosen to suit your eye shape and your own lashes.

Who classic lashes suit

• people having lash extensions for the first time, who should start with a light effect;
• anyone whose own lashes are fairly thick and just lack length and colour;
• people who prefer natural, minimal makeup every day — at work, while studying, day to day;
• anyone who doesn't want others to notice the extensions right away.

If your own lashes are sparse and you want more density, the specialist will probably suggest 2D.

Classic or 2D — what's the difference?

• Classic — one artificial lash per natural lash. The most natural look. 60₾.
• 2D — two fine artificial lashes per natural lash. More volume, but still a soft look. 65₾.

How the procedure goes

1. The specialist chooses the length and curl together with you.
2. The lower lashes are covered with a special tape so the upper and lower lashes don't stick together.
3. You keep your eyes closed while the specialist attaches an artificial lash to each natural one.

The procedure is painless — many people even fall asleep. Come without mascara, and take out contact lenses before the procedure.

How long they last and when you need a refill

Your natural lashes renew all the time, and each artificial lash falls out together with its natural lash. So the full look lasts about 2–3 weeks, after which you need a refill — the specialist fills in the gaps with new lashes. At SANLE a refill costs 45₾ and removal costs 15₾.

Aftercare

• For the first 24–48 hours don't get your lashes wet, and avoid steam, saunas and hot showers;
• don't use oil-based makeup removers;
• don't rub your eyes or pull at your lashes;
• brush them gently every day with a special brush;
• you won't need mascara any more;
• only have them removed at the salon — that keeps your natural lashes safe.
